Consider creating a prayer space - secluded, you may want blankets/ lights, different areas for different methods of prayer or subjects/ topics; stick things on walls or pin boards...
Remove distractions/ turn off your phone
Silence/ stillness
Invite the Holy Spirit
Clear your head
Reflect on a bible verse
When your mind wanders, keep bringing yourself back to that verse (or a word about God e.g. majesty)
If worrying about things etc - don't just push it down but give it to God before letting it go
